Sorrell Jewels at the "Sargent and Fashion" Exhibition at the Tate Britain!

I’ve got some super exciting news that I just can’t wait to share with you all. A stunning collection of vintage-inspired rings will be sold alongside the amazing "Sargent and Fashion" exhibition at Tate Britain!

From February 22 to July 7 2024, Tate Britain is hosting the "Sargent and Fashion" exhibition. This showcase is all about the exquisite works of John Singer Sargent, the master portrait artist who captured the elegance and personality of his subjects like no other. The exhibition features over 70 of Sargent’s masterpieces alongside actual garments and accessories from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. How cool is that?

Back in September 2023, I started working on this fantastic project and began by creating mood boards of Sargent’s most iconic works. I then studied the jewels and accessories featured in his work and pulled out elements and colours I could interpret to find the perfect vintage rings and brooches to match.

Then the treasure hunting began, searching high and low for pieces similar to those in my mood boards. I scoured vintage markets, flea markets, auctions, and antique shops all around London. Along the way, I gathered beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that perfectly reflect the era of Sargent’s work. Each piece was carefully mended, polished, and restored to its former glory before being prepared for the exhibition.

After working on and sourcing these treasures for 6 months I was invited down for the opening night of the exhibition and it was a truly amazing experience to see my brand inside such an iconic location as the Tate.

It still feels so surreal seeing my products on display inside such a prestigious gallery and working on this project has been a dream come true. Thank you so much to everyone who has messaged me to congratulate me, the small business community and its support is the best motivation for me and I feel so proud to share this special occasion with you all.

If you want to check out the jewels and the amazing exhibition make sure you head down to the Tate Britain before the 7th July. You can find out all the information and purchase tickets here.

If you can’t make it to the exhibition, don’t worry! You can still explore and purchase from Sorrell Jewels online. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes peeks into this exciting collaboration!
