ALL THINGS JEWELS - May Newsletter

Hello everyone.

Welcome to the Sorrell Jewels May Newsletter!

I still can’t quite believe how fast this year has gone. It genuinely feels like life has been sped up! Before I get into what I’ve been up to though, I want to introduce you to a slightly different Sorrell Jewels newsletter approach.

I’m excited to be using my monthly newsletter as a way to really catch up and give you guys more insight into the person running Sorrell Jewels, AKA me. Each month, I will be updating you with thoughts about the monthly ring boxes, styling tips, events, markets, sharing customers experiences and life in general.

This new newsletter format will be a real unpacking of my month in a more long form chat. With a more personal and thoughtful approach to communicating with you all, compared to on any social media.

I hope you enjoy reading about my slightly hectic month, please stay in touch. Pop me a message and let me know what you think about the new newsletter!

What I’ve been up to…

Earlier this month, I finally had my university graduation ceremony, 2 years after finishing my degree. It really got me thinking about what my life would look like and even whether Sorrell Jewels would exist without the pandemic. I am someone who believes that certain things are meant to be, and I think Sorrell Jewels would have been born one way or another.

It was a surreal experience speaking to people I hadn’t seen in 2 years. When being asked what I’ve been up to since finishing university it was mind blowing to think Sorrell Jewels simply didn’t exist before. A lot has happened in 2 years and I’m actually feeling pretty proud about how far things have come.

Markets, Pop Ups

& All Things IRL

I know, I’ve been doing a lot 🤣

It honestly feels amazing to be taking part in SO MANY fabulous pop ups, events and markets.

So far I’ve been lucky enough to have Sorrell Jewels at the Wild Thing & Co Pop Up in Bristol, Dulwich Park Fair, The Cherryboy Independent Market, The Samsa Collective Pop Up and A South London Makers Market.

Being able to take part in these events across different parts on London has an amazing way to explore and experience all the different areas in London. Each time, I meet new people, chat about life and I leave feeling warm and filled with positivity.

I’ve got some really exciting announcements about more events coming soon, so keep an eye on my Instagram to find out before anyone else.

The April Ring Box

The Sorrell Jewels April ring box went down a treat! You guys seemed to love the floral theme and it was one of the most successful monthly boxes to date.

Producing content and sneak peeks for this box was really special. I headed home to my parents house in Devon and took advantage of the stunning tulips and daffodils, literally just outside the back door.

Earlier this week, the May ring box theme was revealed. This month, I am really excited to be focusing on the colour purple! Normally, my monthly box themes are more specific, but I want to shake things up a bit.

I can’t wait to share with you all some of the amazing jewels I’ve curated. Being able to play with a more ambiguous theme has been really fun. From different, decades, styles and shapes, this months ring box is one you won’t want to miss!

Styling Tips

Sometimes, we all need a bit of fresh inspiration. Recently, I’ve been enjoying using the Sorrell Jewels Tik Tok to experiment with styling and the idea of refreshing a jewellery look just by mixing things up. You can check out

This videos have been really popular and it seems like you guys are loving them. If you want to see more, head to the Sorrell Jewels Tik Tok to stay up to date on styling videos, and all things behind the scenes. The next styling video will be mixing silver and gold.

May Small Biz Obession

As a creative who studied Fashion Communication, I always adored making collages. This month, I was lucky enough to take part in an amazing workshop run by Laura @GooseGlitters. I was joined by my mum and cousin and we spent afantastic Sunday Monday, learning the steps and creating our own vintage collages. Being able to spend some time being creative and having fun was so lovely. I highly recommend her workshops to everyone so get involved!

This month, I want to say thank you. Sorrell Jewels and all the amazing opportunities wouldn’t be possible without each and every customer. I am so grateful that I get to do this full time and spend my weekends chatting away.

In the spirit of full disclosure though, I have to be real and acknowledge that this past month has been A LOT.

Having to navigate life with a chronic illness can be a bit of a juggling act, and I can feel I am pushing my body to its limits at the moment. What you guys don’t see is that after a busy weekend of markets, it can sometimes take all week for my body to recover. Although living life at this amazing pace and taking part in everything is fab, I know I need to work on sometimes saying no and allowing myself some time to rest.

As I write this, I’m actually lying in bed. Typing this out to add to the newsletter later on. Even though I’m having to catch up on rest I’m feeling so grateful and positive for the future of Sorrell Jewels!

See you next month ✨
